Knitting & Stitch Show

This is the knitting and sewing show of the year, offering over 200 exhibitors selling essential supplies and craft materials. Whether you want knitting yarn and accessories, fabric, sewing machines or embroidery threads you'll find all the knitting supplies and craft products you can think of. This is a much more commercial show than the likes of Unravel and Edinburgh yarn festival. I like to go for fabrics but less so for yarn.

Useful Info: Closest station is Kensington Olympia which is on the London Overground.

Dates: 3 - 6th March 2016

Opening Times:

Thur 10am - 7pm, Fri/Sat/Sun 10 - 5.30pm

Edinburgh Yarn Festival

The Market Place

This year is the 3rd Edinburgh taking place at The Corn Exchange. This is an event not to be missed. The yarn fumes are quite amazing & over-powering.

They have a focus on hand-knitting, but include crochet, spinning, weaving and felting thrown in for good measure, there will be something of interest for all. All exhibitors are hand-picked to show off and sell the most luxurious and interesting products and supplies the Yarn and Knitting Industry has to offer.

As well as all of the yarny shopping goodness there is also the Podcaster Lounge hosted by Knit British, which is not to be missed. Louise will be running a programme of things over the weekend and you can come by just to show off your wares and sit and knit.

Around 100 vendors have been selected (including me of course) and you can view here

Useful Info: Nearest Station is: Edinburgh Haymarket, Buses regularly run to the venue. A cash machine is located at the Asda next to the venue.
